Have You Ever Dreamed Of Custom Engagement Rings?

Every Thursday night I watch Four Weddings, on TLC, and on Sunday mornings I watch Say Yes to the Dress. I don't know why I'm so intrigued by other people's weddings, but I am and I don't think I'm the only one. These wedding shows are gaining so much popularity and I'm loving it.
If you are expecting an engagement or are planning a wedding these shows show so much inspiration. It's cool to see what the average wedding costs, what type of food is served, what the dress looks like and the bridesmaid dress, and let's not forget the ring! I was watching an episode last Thursday and noticed a bride that had a custom engagement ring. She apparently dreamed of custom engagement rings her whole life, but I had never thought/heard about it until then. Of course her ring was drop dead gorgeous ! They didn't say how much it costed but I'm assuming it was pricey because she had a pretty lavish lifestyle. It got me thinking, do you know anyone that has a customized ring? Or do you??

DIY Fabric Flowers

My latest obsession is fabric flowers. I made one of these and I got so many compliments and questions about how I made them so I thought I would add a short tutorial. Don't worry even if you aren't a sewer, you will be able to make these. I had no idea how to sew and taught myself how to make these flowers believe me when I say, "If I can do it then you can do it!" Happy crafting friends!

Materials needed:
Small pieces of fabric
needle/thread
hot glue gun
buttons/jewels/embelleshments

Step 1 : Cut 5 round circles, about the same size,

Step 2: Fold in half

Step 3: Fold in half again

Step 4: Start sewing the circular part, it will cinch (which is what you want) Don't worry about the circular side being perfectly cut or sewn, once you add an embellishment in the middle you won't see any flaws.

Step 5: Once you have sewn the whole side it should look something like this. You want to cinch it in order to look like a flower petal. Start sewing on the second petal the same way as the first.

Step 6: Sew back and forth till you get the petals to connect and cinch together

Step 7: Keep adding petals until you complete the flower.
Step 8: Use your hot glue gun and add a button or jewel in the middle! I attached my flower to a headband

Gift for Mom | Waxing Poetic Jewelery

You would think shopping for your own Mom would be a simple task but it surely isn't. It seems the people you know the best are sometimes the most difficult to shop for. My Mom is a simple lady who enjoys reading, being outside, and cooking/baking. She just had a birthday and I got her cooking and baking things for that and she has an iPad where she reads books. Since it's Winter there isn't many options of outdoor activities, at least not where we live. So what to do?

I happened to be browsing online, shopping for myself of course, when I discovered the gift. My Mom doesn't like when we spend a lot of money on her but I know she secretively likes when we get her jewelry. So I thought these would be perfect! Since she isn't much of a flashy or show offy type of person I thought these waxing poetic rings would be just enough. I just don't know which to choose. Do I go the simple route or add a simple but cute design? Oh the decisions. What are you all getting for your Mom?

DIY Christmas Gift Tags & Wrapping Paper

I went to Walgreens the other night to buy wrapping paper and it was ridiculously expensive, and not even that cute! Of course I found some more cute ideas on Pinterest, this time DIY Christmas gift card tags and wrapping paper. Instead of buying paper that isn't personable or unique, I will be creating my own. Some people, like myself, really appreciates things like this. I didn't have to buy much for these projects, I just used things I had laying around home or old scraps from past crafts.
I might make these into my Christmas cards this year...hmmm...

I mimicked this idea but instead of buying blank gift tags and decorating them I cut my own. I used paper bags and cut a gift tag shape. They aren't perfect but that's what gives them character. Next, I attached buttons into a tree shape, I didn't match them and instead just randomly placed them on the tag. I then hot glued the button on, let dry and that's it! Literally so simple and way cuter than buying them int the store. You can tape them right onto your gift package or punch a hole and attach a cute ribbon.
DIY wrapping paper: kraft paper and neon dot stickersWrapping.

Making your own wrapping paper sounds intimidating but it can be really simple. If you are new to the DIY wrapping paper world it's smart to start of nice and simple. Use materials that you wouldn't normally think of, like cutting up a paper grocery bag. Stamp with paint dots, add glitter or cut out snowflakes and attach. I always use the paper bag approach and attach felt flowers or fabric flowers for a rustic and cute DIY look!

hidden photographer proposal w/ unique engagement ring

A girl I know from high school just recently got engaged. Her boyfriend, fiance now, planned a photographer to capture the moment. Of course all of her classmates, including myself, were/are super jealous! He seems like a modern day prince having this engagement planned the way he did.
The engagement took place while the couple was strolling around Minneapolis on a Sunday afternoon. Molly, the bride to be, had no idea Jack had this whole extravaganza planned. While walking across a bridge Jack stopped, got down on one knee, and confessed his love to Molly. There were tears, laughter and kisses as she barely snorted out, "yes!"

Molly couldn't believe her eyes as she checked out her diamond ring. Jack had chosen such unique enagement ring Molly couldn't believe it! Although I wasn't there to capture the moment first hand, Molly told us girls all about it. I'm very impressed that Jack had a photographer present and had gotten away with the surprise of a lifetime. They are a very happy couple and deserve all the happiness in the world!

a hair product that could change you life

I'm not the type to jump into a shower in the morning. Many take showers in the morning to wake themselves up but I find taking a shower to do just the opposite. I shower at night because it helps calm me down and I can go to bed feeling clean. I love to wind down my night with either a lavender bath or a hot shower and afterwards apply lavender essential oils.

This nightly routine has worked out incredibly well except the fact that my hair is always a mess. I have really course hair so if I go to bed with wet hair I wake up looking like Elvis Presley and there is no way of fixing it besides a headband or hat. I do blow-dry and straighten my hair some nights but that's to much work to do everyday! Not that it has bothered me much but sometimes I wish I could easily be able to fall asleep with damp hair and wake up with somewhat manageable hair.

Then, I found this brush! I never knew something like this existed but boy am I glad I found it. This is from goody.com. It is a microfiber QuickStyle paddle brush. It is made with super absorbent microfiber materials to help dry your hair incredibly fast while giving a natural style. I literally can't wait to try this out!

christmas bulb garland, candle holders and cookie baking | hello holidays!

Holiday decorating, cookie making and present wrapping is here! Finally. I get really into the Christmas mood every year. I plead guilty to listening to Christmas music for months on end and decorating my apartment way to early.

Fluted Wax Mercury Bowls
This year I put up my tree in mid November (which is early) and I am still adding last minute touches to it. Along with my Christmas tree I have put up bulb garlands, Christmas colored candle holders, and hung stockings. My apartment is so small that I don't have much space to work with so I had to narrow my decorations down to my favorites. My boyfriend on the other hand is not a fan of all the holiday clutter. It puts me in the holiday mindset but he thinks it is to much clutter. But he will have to deal with it :) Christmas is my fav.

boots, boots, Sorell boots

Do you have all your Winter wear basics? Tomorrow marks the first day of December, aka it's officially winter. Although we haven't gotten any snow where I live, it is getting chilly out. However, I'm not one to complain about the lack of snow. I do love snow but I don't love having to deal with the roads, traffic and going out in the cold.

But, one great thing about snow, or Winter for that matter, is the excuse to wear cute boots like these. These Sorel boots are perfect for frolicking around in the snow or just for cute. Yes they are practical and heavy duty but also super adorable. If you have to go out in the Winter wonderland why not go in style?

Read About Tungsten Carbide And You'll Be Sold

My husband and I have been married for ten years now, and we wanted to renew our vows very soon. Doing this we definitely wanted to get new wedding rings. I started looking around for the perfect rings because our first ones didn't seem to do as well as well we thought they would. We were young and didn't have as much money as we would have liked. This time we wanted to get wedding rings that would last a life time while staying beautiful. I am not really familiar with wedding jewelry or just jewelry for that matter, so I needed to do some research and get some reviews. We picked what we wanted and by far after reading about tungsten carbide we have definitely made our decision on that. They are permanently polished and lasts a life time. It is such a precious metal and needs little to no maintenance which is just what we want. I cannot wait to renew our vows and relive one of the best days of our lives and make so many more memories.

Shocking Black Mens Titanium Rings

I decided to get this gorgeous black mens titanium ring for me and my husband's anniversary. I don't think I have ever bought him any jewelry the whole time we were married to be truthful. He hardly wears anything except for his wedding ring. When I saw this ring, I just thought it was really unique, simple, and different.

When I showed it to him, he was shocked. I think he really likes it, and so far he has worn it out a few times. I don't expect him to wear it all the time, but it's nice to see that he likes it and he wears it. I'm thinking on finding him a new wedding ring to wear. He got me one last year, it was like an upgrade. So, possibly, something like this could happen again in the future. I really liked all of the pieces I've seen when I found this one, so maybe I could find something for him again.

Custom Designed Rings

To be honest I though shopping for my engagement ring was going to be... painful. Now not painful physically, but metaphorically. I mean I figured choosing one ring for me to wear forever would be easy, afraid not, it was a scary decision! I saw so many I fell in love with. My fiance saw how hard this decision was for me that he suggested I just make my own. So we went a made a custom designed ring, just for me! I finally incorporated all the ideas into one perfect ring. Now I have absoultely zero worries that I made the perfect choice in my wedding ring.

Prom Hair Ideas!!

So with prom coming up I bought my prom dress already and now i'm looking for the finishing touches. My shoes are already picked out now all I've got to is incorporate all of those looks into my prom hair... if that's possible.

I figured my dress is a sweet heart sleveless dress, so I had to get an up-do. I was looking for more of the natural wavy look. My dress is kind of fitted so I had to keep the hair laid back. I was looking up prom hair styles and found this one. It's absolutely perfect! I love how the front is kind of plain to keep the attention on my necklace I'll be wearing. The back is kind of a messy bun and I love the ides of putting a jeweled barret in the back. I keeps the back of my hair exciting. With this hair style I'll be styling from head to toe!!

Nat King Cole: Unforgettable

Everyone's valentines day playlist needs to have the father of romantic blues. Playing his music while cooking valentines day foods can really get you into the mood. Also Nat's voice will just give you that extra swag to really make your valentine feel loved.

I always play Nat King Cole: Unforgettable when I'm getting ready for a date or just playing music. I love how his music can go to anything. This time though I'm playing it for my valentines day supper with the boyfriend. I was going to go with maybe Billie Holiday, but I thought my man Nat could really pull through this time! Another good point is, playing classics is a really good ice breaker. I mean there's nothing better than listening to the soulful voice of Nat King Cole. His lyrics make you realize what you love so much about your valentine, and really make you love them more!

Multiple Use Hawaiian Baby Blankets

This was a gift we got from my older sister at out baby shower. It was a hawaiian baby blanket that you can use to cover over the stroller if it's really cold out. I didn't even think of anything like that. She has five kids, so she thinks of everything you could possibly need. The hawaiian print is so precious and the blanket itself is so soft and warm.

I don't know what I would do with out her. She has helped me so much through this pregnancy. She gives the best advice and also tells you what to expect and what you're going to need. This is my first child and I wanted to have everything I need and I want to be prepared.
The big blankets to cover up your stroller are perfect, because you can also use them if you go out to the park or to a game, you can lay them down and sit on them. It's great for a baby to lay on and roll around on outside. It gives you an excuse to go outside with your child and get some fresh air and play around.

Games You Can Play On The Travel!!

I know I'm not alone when I say traveling long distances is no fun. I always hated reading because I always got car sick and I would finish the book and that left me absolutely nothing to do. So when we planned a trip to California I thought we definitely needed something to keep my mind occupied. We were trying to find a game that everyone knew how to play... and the game that automatically came to my mind was connect four. Everyone knows how to play that game and It is so fun!!

I found this connect four travel game on this couponing website. This made the fact that I'm buying this game that much better. We also bought some other really classic two player games. My sister loves guess who, so we got that one. Battleship was another classic one on one game that I loved playing. Now I can play it on the long journey to California!

A Fashion Must!

Everyone should own a belt. For guys, this should be a necessity.
We all don’t want to look at your underwear walking around town. For the ladies well we get to accentuate our outfits with belts. I always like to wear dresses and add a belt to make an empire waist from a drab dress that has no figure. Or if you’re going for the country look I like to get a belt buckle and let that baby show!!

There’s no belt I like better than a braided belt. The one pictured here is a braided belt. I like them because I can fit it to any size. Also the belt allows me to wear it with anything!! I love wearing this belt not just because it goes with any pair of jeans I own but I can also wear it with any dress I own. Great versatility! Oh and I’ve found great belts at target. The belt from the blog is actually from target.

Happy 200th Birthday Charles Dickens

Today happens to be Charles Dickens birthday. Some of you may not know, but he is famous for writing A Christmas Carol, Great Expectations, Oliver Twist, A Tale of two cities, David Copperfield, The Cricket on the Hearth and many more. I went looking around for the perfect gift in honor of Charles dickens. Everyone know his most famous work: A Christmas Carol, and since kids absolutely love that book I bought it to share with my family. Maybe make it a new tradition to read it aloud on Christmas!

I can actually remember acting in our school play of A Christmas Carol. Now I wasn't the main character or anything but it was still fun to act and be apart of such a classic. Now by owning the book our family can act out A Christmas Carol and I can finally be Scrooge! Great idea inspired by Charles Dickens 200th birthday! Happy Birthday Charles Dickens!!

Black Titanium Wedding Rings

My fiance and I recently were looking for mens wedding bands and found this one. It is perfect! We both loved the detail in the ring and loved the color. There's something about black titanium that drew us to it. The detail on the ring's front and sides drew us to the ring too. It's so beautiful and powerful. We loved it so much that we are getting a matching black titanium ring for me!

Bella Hair

I am a Twilight fanatic, hands down the best books and movies EVER! When my friend found these metal hair accessories she knew I would love them. She is the best. This hair piece is so fun to wear because it is different. It is comfortable and keeps the hair out of my face while making a fashion statement. I also ordered  necklace I wear all the time.

I'm Stocked Up On My Reed Diffuser Refills!

I fell in love with the Lamp Stand's reed diffusers. I never had to worry about my house smelling bad again. I was looking online and I saw that you could get reed diffuser refills. I was so happy that I didn't have to buy a whole new one every time I was out. I have stocked up with multiple different scents because they are all on sale right now!
